In March 2014, TH Seeds clinched a first place in the Indica category at the Social Clubs Cannabis Cup in Barcelona.  Their winning variety, MK Ultra has won awards before from the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2003/4 and has remained an extremely popular strain ever since.  The strain is derived from a cross of two legendary varieties – OG Kush x G13 which combine to produce a very potent Indica with dense, resin-coated nugs and a spicy flavour that lingers on the palate.  Just one month later, MK Ultra won clinched another prize with a valiant 3rd place in the US Cannabis Cup in Denver in April 2014.

Then, most recently at the inaugural Bio Cannabis Cup in Mataro, Spain in May, TH Seeds’ famous S.A.G.E.(Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium) strain won first prize.  The entries here were judged blindly by a panel of celebrity judges including Howard ‘Mr Nice’ Marks and infamous breeder, Scott Blakey (AKA Shantibaba).  SAGE has of course won many awards before, but never a first place overall.  Proof, perhaps, that this old favourite of years gone by can still have a say against newer strains thanks to its distinctive spicy taste and jaw-dropping potency.
