Soma Seeds is the legendary genetic line of Soma; homegrown in Amsterdam, Soma has been an active cannabis entrepreneur and genetic mastermind for quite some time, having been active since 1995. It has had an active seedbank for over 25 years and is infamous for cultivars such as New York City Diesel and Amnesia Haze. A testament to his genetic prowess is his countless awards and cannabis cups that have helped him grow into the iconic figure he now is.

Four of their staple hybrids include the Amnesia Haze, a strain infamous across all of Europe, especially Amsterdam, where it was conceived. If you visit just about any coffee shop in Amsterdam today, you'll likely find Amnesia Haze, as it is a mainstay strain for the region. The Amnesia Haze is a cross of Thai Sticks x Cambodian x Laotian. This very complex and exciting cross features Southeast Asian Genetics, which was a particular favourite of Soma. Soma's Amnesia Haze took first place in the High Times Cannabis Cup 2004 & the Cannabis Cup 2012, it took First place in Spannabis 2012, 1st plC in the IC420 Cup 2005 and 1st Place in the Highlife Cup 2008, 2011 and 2012.

Lavender is another staple strain from Soma Seeds, a pairing of Super Skunk x Big Skunk Korean x Afghani x Hawaiian; this four-way pairing brings together Afghanistan, Hawaii, Korea, the USA, and Europe become muddled together in this all-inclusive cross. This super exotic-looking hybrid develops deep, dank purple colours and creates an unreal exotic strain with deep, dark purple colourations. Lavender took first place in the High Times Cannabis Cup 2005, 1st place at Spannabis 2007, 1st Place in the IC420 Cup 2010 and first place in the Highlife Cup 2014. The Lavender #1 is a longstanding favourite strain of Soma's and is also listed as one of the best medical strains on the market.

New York City Diesel is a cross of Mexican Sativa x Afghani, undoubtedly one of the most popular strains in the Soma Seeds genetic line. New York City Diesel has ultra-strong cerebral effects that gradually seep into complete body relaxation. Her profile is infamous for being extraordinary, with its reeking of grapefruit and limes. The seeds came via NYC as a friend brought them to Soma, and he had super-long dreads, so Soma believed him. It took second place in the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2001, 2003 and 2004. Meanwhile, it took first place in the IC420 Cup in 2008 and six years later in 2014. Lastly, it took second place in the Highlife Cup back in 2008.

Buddha's Sister is the last strain from the original four staples from Soma, a cross of Afghani and Hawaiian Super Skunk. This strain used to be coined as Soma Skunk V+; this variety was then renamed Buddha's Sister to suit her tendencies and to make her appeal to the Coffeeshop owners much faster. This strain became an instantaneous hit after the rename, with it frequently selling out at coffee shops and remains one of the best-selling strains available at De Dampkring.

Jacob Green marks one of the new strains from Somas Sacred Seeds, a cross of the infamous Jokerz #31 cut which has been such a critical instrumental tool with Compound Genetics hybrids, and here Soma has decided to pair it with the legendary strain that is G13 Haze.

Pink Glue is their other new strain for 2024, a combination of the fan-favourite Pink Runtz elite cultivar, crossed with Soma's Glue (itself a cross of Bruce Banner & Gorilla Glue #4 that is sought-after for its gorgeously sweet, fruity candy flavour that ensures that every hit is a puff for the senses. Pink Glue has been making waves in the Hague, with the flower available exclusively from The Dizzy Duck coffeeshop in The Hague.
