Planet Diesel Archive Seed Bank is a pairing of the Original Diesel from Schroom20 pollinated by the legendary Planet Purple F2 Male. 

The original Diesel cut from Shroomy420 seemed a little bit danker and skunkier when compared to classic Sour Diesel, but overall, they were so similar it was much like comparing different OG cuts. Same same, but different?

Over the years, Archive has said he's convinced himself, but that at the same time Diesel is one of the harder profiles to cement into seed form (especially F1) and get results that match or exceed the parental Diesel's quality. 

In his experience, the best phenotypes show up in the F2'S and beyond. Mostly, and Diesel isn't an exception to that general rule. The F1 line is where you make the selections in the direction you wish to go. It doesn't mean the first generation is going to be the end-all and be-all. 

The Planet Purple F2 has proven time and time again that it hybridises perfectly with the other plants whilst passing on its insane resin production qualities and plant performance to the progeny. The male moves in unison, working perfectly with the Original Diesel's flavour profile. She is packed full of deep, sweet, fuel-y diesel. This Planet Diesel strain is an F1 hybrid, and the resulting notes are heavily centred in the world of earthy, doughy sherb/cookies, with some turned up a bit brighter and a bit more effervescent from the Zkittlez lineage from the Planet Purple male. The best in the bunch are the eclectic mix of old-school burnt rubber chemy fuel and diesel-y sweet oily sherb z notes are best, in Archive's opinion. These flowers tend to be in the medium flowering time percentile of around 65-75 days. 

Some phenotypes are far longer flowering and typically retain too many of the diesel's flowering attributes, which tend to be more undesirable. That said, don't count them all out as if you take those diesel dominant phenotypes the full distance (80+ days), some of the longer flowering phenotypes will really begin to show their potential and may even become your favourite smoke. 

Planet Diesel is the best starting point for an Original Diesel breeding project. Archive has held the Scrhoomy420 Original Diesel clone ever since '04, and as such there is no question as to its provenance. For this progeny, she has been bred with a modern, proven elite stud. All that is needed is a couple of generations of selections and inbreeding or generational in-crossing to pull out some of the best ever profiles out of the Original Diesel line and thrust into the dominant part of its genetic prowess.
