Terpenes or terps for short are the main constituents of essential oils that occur naturally in most plants and flowers.

Among other properties, terpenes are known for their pronounced scents and flavours that tend to define the plant’s character. For example; forest pine trees contain the terpene alpha pinene – this is what gives pine needles their distinctive smell.

Unsurprisingly, terpenes also exist in cannabis plants. In fact, there are over 100 known terpenes found in different strains of cannabis. The sharp lemon flavour found in strains such as Lemon Haze, for example, is largely down to the presence of the limonene terpene that pervades that particular variety of marijuana.

The PureSativa range of terpenes are 100% natural and organic. Although they are not derived from cannabis plants, these terps are formulated from other botanicals to replicate the scents and flavours of your favourite strains of cannabis while remaining 100% legal. They are made without the use of any additives such as vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol, making them the purest, most natural terpenes available legally in the UK.

PureSativa terpenes are sold in 2ml bottles. To use, simply add a couple of drops to your smoking mixture and enjoy as normal. Alternatively. Our pure terps can be used to make your own vaping cartridges with herbal essential oils. Be careful not to use too much as the flavours are extremely powerful and will ruin your smoke if used excessively. Terpenes are also notoriously light and volatile - high temperatures can effect the efficacy, so we would always recommend vaping at the lowest possible temperature settings to preserve flavours.
